Frequently asked questions
How do I claim a throne? ▾
Open the map and tap on a throne marker near you (within 50 m). Tap "Claim This Throne" and stay in range for the countdown to complete. Once the timer finishes, confirm your claim and the crown is yours. The longer you hold, the higher your score multiplier.
Why does Dung Chat need my location? ▾
Location is the core of the game. We use it to show you nearby thrones, verify that you're physically at a throne to claim it, and calculate distances. We only access your location while you're actively using the app — never in the background. You can revoke location access in your device settings, but most features won't work without it.
How do I found a new throne? ▾
If no throne exists at your current location, tap "Found a New Throne" in the app. Give it a name, choose a realm type (café, hotel, airport, etc.), then complete the founding rite. A random rarity will be assigned — you might get a Legendary on your first sit. You'll be permanently recorded as the Founder of that throne.
What are rarity tiers? ▾
Rarity determines how many points a throne is worth. There are five tiers: Common (×1.0), Uncommon (×1.5), Rare (×2.5), Epic (×4.0), and Legendary (×7.0). Rarity is assigned randomly when a throne is founded. Rarer thrones are harder to find and more fiercely contested.
What happens if someone takes my throne? ▾
You'll receive a dethrone notification. You can head back to reclaim it — but your rival will have had time to settle in. If they're still there, you'll need to wait them out. Winning back a throne you previously held earns a Dethrone bonus multiplier.
How do streaks work? ▾
Claim at least one throne per day to maintain your streak. Each consecutive day increases your streak count. At milestone days (7, 14, 30…) you unlock bonus XP, score multipliers, and cosmetic rewards. Miss a day and your streak resets — unless you have a Streak Shield activated.
How do I delete my account? ▾
You can delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account within the app. This permanently removes your profile, score, and throne history. Alternatively, email us at
support@dungchat.com and we'll process the deletion within 7 days.
Is Dung Chat appropriate for children? ▾
Dung Chat is rated for users 13 and older due to location sharing and online interaction features. We recommend parental supervision for younger teens. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
I found a bug. How do I report it? ▾
We love bug reports — they help keep the realm stable. Email
support@dungchat.com with your device model, OS version, and a description of the issue. Screenshots or screen recordings are very helpful. We aim to respond within 24 hours.
